Audience Research asks who is hosting first. The step after that is where you fix its guess.
The event brief starts with one box, a lookup, and a review screen. Here is what the lookup fills in, why the industry field matters most, and what to check before you press Generate and spend a briefing.

Open a new briefing in Audience Research and the first thing you see is a single box. It asks who you are speaking to. There is no nine-field form waiting behind it. You type a company, an association, an event, or a website, press Look them up, and the tool goes searching.
That is quicker than filling in a form. It also means the tool makes a guess about your audience before you have checked anything, and the next screen is where you get to correct it.
The lookup is a guess, and the screen says so
After the search, you land on a review screen. At the top is a short note about who the tool thinks the organization is. If it is confident, the note says "Here's what we found." If it is not, it says "We think this is them" and adds a caveat about what it could not pin down.
Read that caveat. A shared name, a rebranded association, or a parent company with a different focus can all send the search to the wrong place. The tool flags the doubt so you can catch it here instead of finding out in the finished report.
